Deleted messages leave persistent unread message indicators

Steps to reproduce

1. Send a message in a channel
2. Delete it
3. On another account, view the channel only after step 1 and 2.

Expected behaviour

Unread message indicators cleared on message delete.

Actual behaviour

Unread message indicators are persistent, even after opening the channel, and can only be cleared by marking a different message as unread and then clicking on the banner to mark all new messages as read.
