Server Groups/Sub-Communities/Sub-Servers

Problem

Sub servers for members of fluxer, those who hate not having organized channels or don’t wanna deal with multiple categories and channels at the same time, and having organized spaces/rooms for servers. Similar to how guilded had it prior; and not entirely cloning them by keeping the discord UI with the new sub-community section.

Proposed solution

1. Adding an extra menu to the channel UI so it shows which group you’re specifically in.
2. Allowing each group to be made alongside different roles and perms so people can be in whichever group of said server they want to be in.
3. Giving more organization towards each member.

Isn't this discord server folders or am I missing something here?

not much of discord server folders, more of servers within a server that are under the main server, somewhat of a concept of an "All in one" server minus the confusion of what channels and roles to set, and a simplified setup with roles and categories and such.

Different from the folders on discord since folders don't have a main server/hub where all of them connect to unless difficulty by bridging channels and whatnot, while with groups you can just have one main hub, then multiple servers/groups beneath.

Just had another thought with this that i said in Fluxer Developers but thought to spread so devs can have an idea of what it can do too if something bad were to happen (like raid bots joining..)

sub servers that are switchable to the main server hub, so if one server/hub server gets raided, you can make something similar to guilded groups that can replace said server and private it so it can be reported by moderators and sent to fluxer moderation.

Or have a gourp/sub-server where the bots/raiders get put in and where they can't do any harm to the other groups/sub-server or main server... like a honeypot system

Same thing I was thinking of but in a different aspect, sure you can have one main server but if that gets wrecked you can switch main server to another and private the one that got raided…

Idk if this is a good concept art or not, but this is what i think it would look like if fluxer added the "server group" feature on desktop...

Alright... since ik mockups/arts of this may not be so great on some level, i did a bit of a "Recording" and help using "Claude AI" to make a style of a "mockup" thats interactive with the platform...

i feel like ima be screamed at due to making a codeup with AI but its useful for some stuff so yk.

We will likely not be building this at this time. The UX complexity of this does not seem worth it when categories accomplish the same. This effectively is just 1 + n deeper layer of categories, which feels odd.

There maybe better ways to make of it instead of the "1 + n deeper layer of categories" when it can be something of this

Then making channels beneath it? not sure, it can keep similar channel layout except make it a group within servers.

Not my platform but its a suggestion that maybe useful for fluxer to make it a bit better, and that it can be optional to make a "sub-server" type system.
