Remove tracking data from links

Problem

Currently, when users send a link (e.g. https://youtu.be/0iL0aLUS32A?si=S-nawS3WiYGjZh1X) the tracking data within that link (?si=S-nawS3WiYGjZh1X) retains.

Proposed solution

Add an option to Privacy Dashboard -> Communication to automatically remove tracking data from links
or Messages & Media -> Input

I like your idea. I already use an extension that does this in my browser and it would be doubly good to have it in any chats I am a part of.

Can confirmed that this feature is in Canary; plainly not mentioned a week ago if I remembered correctly.

Fun Fact: Adding a YT link that has "si=" URL was a bug. This was later fixed at the time when the bug was discovered.

Yeah I can confirm this was added too. Not sure if I'm supposed to close the thread tho.

You can probably just close it when the feature makes it into production.
