HEVC video fails to play on Linux desktop

Summary

Attempting to play embedded HEVC .mp4s in the Linux desktop app results in audio only playback (black screen)

The videos work properly in the web app (Firefox) and other programs which support HEVC.

1. Upload or embed HEVC video
2. Try to play it
3. It doesn't display
