I'm aware that the topic has been discussed but for the record the issue is still present in Gnome on Ubuntu 20.04. The fix from ver 0.9.0 didn't work.

It alse doesn't work on my Ubuntu20.04.2 LTS. It kept turning when I opened it. And then it quit.
When I opened it in the terminal, it only displays three lines of information, and nothing.I used the ctrl+c to force it off, it displays (indicator-sysmonitor:12474): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 01:22:35.612: gtk_main_quit: assertion 'main_loops != NULL' failed.
