In some instances it would be nice to be able to store the settings encrypted on disk or in memory for a period of time to not have to continuously get the settings from AWS.
This could pose a security risk and could cause issues if keys were rotated on AWS so I'm still on the fence on whether it is a good idea to store cached keys.
