Earth Engine client library not initialized. Run ee.Initialize()

Hi,

I'm running a streamlit app on https://satschool.streamlit.app/ but I've started to get the following error:

EEException: Earth Engine client library not initialized. Run `ee.Initialize()`

I have a streamlit secret saved as
EARTHENGINE_TOKEN = "1//-tokengoeshere-rY""

This is the refresh token taken from ~/.config/earthengine/credentials

And I have added
geemap.ee_initialize()
in the code to no avail.

Please could someone let me know what I'm missing?

Coming back to this thread with an update for those who have the same problem:

If you're having the same problem as me with hosting a geemap streamlit app, the solution that works is to use your refresh token (I had to reboot the app and wait 24 hours for this to take effect?). Using the entire earthengine credentials will not work. So your streamlit secrets should be something like:
EARTHENGINE_TOKEN = "YOUR REFRESH TOKEN HERE"

I am working on a time sensitive project and I need help to resolve an earth engine initialization error. I encountered the error when I tested the ee_plugin with a short code. I was able to successfully. Also, was successful. However, when I typed the following code: <countries = ee.FeatureCollection("USDOS/LSIB_SIMPLE/2017")>, I got the error below:

I have authenticated the earth engine client library using earthengine authenticate via my ubuntu terminal. I also switched to the python interface on terminal and then typed

import ee
ee.Authenticate()- authentication successful
ee.Initialize()

These three codes were executed successfully, but I still got the error above on my QGIS/Python Console when I tried this code again: countries = ee.FeatureCollection("USDOS/LSIB_SIMPLE/2017").

Please, can you provide any suggestion or help?

Find your project ID from the JS Code Editor. Run the folowing.

ee.Initialize(project="YOUR-PROJECT-ID")

AttributeError: 'QgsRasterDataProvider' object has no attribute 'set_ee_object'. Although, the shapefile layer for Ukraine executes successfully. What could be the reason for the error?

If you are using the QGIS plugin, then it is QGIS plugin issue. Report it to https://github.com/gee-community/qgis-earthengine-plugin
