How to upgrade the spec templates and prompts

Hi, I have been playing with the spec kit, and it is really cool. Whenever there is a change, what is the upgrade process? Now, suddenly, the commands and templates have changed, and you have to upgrade to this even though you defined the specs in the old format.

When I did specify init .. It modified my .specify folders, and I lost all the content from that, including the constitution.md. What is the best approach when we already have the specs defined in the older format?
