Hi goshante,
I just want to share with you and readers, two suggestion

  • A better battery monitor mods woud be catch the battery "+" after the pwer switch to avoid any battery drain.
  • On ATS receivers I always found gain of MD8002 set too high, bringing white noise audio also when Volume is set to zero and distortion at max volume. This can fixed changing R14 value from 68K to 10kohm (between pin 4 and 5 of MD8002). As you can see on photo, I left a potentiometer but overall any value between 4k7 an 10khom gives nice results. Easier solution is simply adding a 10kohm resistor on the chip pin4,5 without remove the original resistor R14.

Hope this can help :)
