Default option to save Current Session to Saved Session.

Any option to save Current Session to Saved Session. Also, what does Saved Session actually do?
Both Current and Saved Session have option to export. Can the export functionality be automated either by the extension itself or if that's not possible, then can the user possibly do that via some tweak?
Just lost ~50 tabs, I had exported my session a few weeks back, but not the recent one. Surprisingly, I was able to Ctrl+Shift+T the 80 tabs in 1 window, but the other window with ~50 tabs gone, hence the above suggestions/queries. Read up some previous Issues on recovering from ldb files, so no queries on that front.
