Corrupt bookmarks that were suspended #1097
Comments
Corruption is a bug, but what does it look like? If the title is normal and the URL is something like this:
Then no data was lost and not changing the URL would be considered a feature. |
Is it possible for TGS to interact with the bookmarks engine in Chrome so that when you bookmark a suspended tab the original URL is bookmarked, not the suspended state URL. |
It used to be the program that would apply itself to pages that were options /settings for other plugins, and these were CORRUPT AND UNUSABLE. I just tested this again and either I whitelisted the ones I use, like the last pass when you edit a site, but it didn't wreck the shortcut. Now that I know I can delete the beginning to these shortcuts, I have a workaround for why I wrote this in the first place: If you use Chrome browser on desktop and use Chrome on a phone /Android. The shortcuts are saved with great suspender wrapped code, and these links do NOT work on Android without deleting the wrapper before the HTTP: On a desktop, you can click on the bookmark and it will load in the low memory state, you just need to click on the page for it to load. So, yes it used to corrupt links that we're not links per se, but whatever 🤐 it works. I do wish your program would detect when a bookmark is being saved and unwrap it for the saveb function. |

tgs 7.1.0 , Chrome 80.0.3987.122

I have had this problem all along, I thought there was an issue before, but I can't find it.
Tabs that were suspended I want to save without having to 'touch' each one to refresh the page and instead be able to choose to use "bookmark all" at a later time (after TGS has done its magic. )
Another problem is with pages that are an extension, such as a LastPass config page, or more importantly a saved lastpass password page (tab). It gets corrupted as well and unable to open.
I have 10k + bookmarks from 30 years of browsing, and admittably many are bad now, but I didn't realize that ones I have been creating to save "all my research on a topic and saved using :bookmark all" are worthless now.
Is this a feature request, a bug or ??
thanks!
