Use real URL when bookmarking #720

tbh, i have written off bookmarks as a way of saving sessions. my figuring is that if someone has so many tabs open that they need The Great Suspender, then they probably aren't using bookmarks :P i actually have another extension called spaces which i use as an alternative to bookmarks: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/spaces/cenkmofngpohdnkbjdpilgpmbiiljjim?hl=en but i'm aware not everyone else feels the same way. i agree it would be nice to be able to bookmark the real url. it would also be nice if the real url appeared in chrome history and syncing. see this issue for a similar discussion: #46 |
is this going to be a feature you implement in the great suspender? it's a dealbreaker for me often have sessions with multiple tabs, and just want to 'bookmark all open tabs' without having to wake up each tab suspended by tgs thanks for the dev initiative, anyway - wish Chrome used less resources by default |
Listen, if you're not going to intercept bookmark creation, why not run a regular think where you detect your suspender URKs and regex them into regular ones? It's a super decent halfway solution. |
duplicate of #454. |
Currently using Chrome on Windows.
Bookmarks for suspended URLs point to the extension instead of the original thread.. of course.
Probably nothing can be done about this... unless... well, https://github.com/cdzombak/SaveTabs is vera vera nica, it can do just about anything. It's fast and easy and even after 5 years since an update, it is truly amazing... it's the only one I found that would:
If you decide SaveTabs is a crazy-must-have extension, maybe you could fork it over to Suspender :)
Really tho, this is the one thing that has suspended me from using Suspender.
