[Negative progress] <as proxy for conditional formatting - databars like excel> #64
Comments
Hi @parthi2929, cool! Could you give me some clarification here? |
@parthi2929 could you please confirm my understanding of your request? |
@guibranco Sorry for the delay. Kindly find an example below. For below numbers in excel, I get below conditional formatting. I would like to get this effect for markdown table, with each cell as proxy bar from your lib |
@guibranco excel achieves this, based on entire value of data selected (for ex, if I selected just 100 to 0 in above cells, the bar would have been different).. However, each proxy bar's is independent, unaware of any data outside, so to achieve similar effect, we should be able to set the center (or origin or start) of progress from middle or from left. A. If origin set as middle, and negative value given, the progress emanates from middle to left.. I request A and B. Others, can be, as you see fit. |
@parthi2929 Pull request completed! Description
Excel has this super cool data bars from conditional formatting..
which also supports negative vlaues..
Your progress bar is a wonderful proxy to achieve same affect (give a plain markdown file, a python snippet could update the numbers column with your proxy as conditional formatting databars).. if you could also support negative numbers, that need would be much more complete.. Kindly consider..
