Issues with packetloss

It seems that, whilst this is working great under optimal conditions, the slightest variances can lead to severe packet loss. For example, the simple fact of the doorbell ringing led to the loss of the whole packet, as the carrier ran to the door, stumbled and lost its payload.

This is something that should really be improved.
