I'm starting to get the hang of it, but I recommend against going the Blender route - i.e. "people who are used to it love it, and people who aren't used to it can't use it at all, even if they are world-class Maya experts."
This needs tooltips!! I can't figure out what most of the tools do. Icons only communicate to people who already know what they do.
It took me forever to figure out that right-drag adds measures. I've figured out how to copy-paste carefully without making a mess, but that should be easier. Cmd-C, Cmd-V don't seem to work.
When 1 or more notes are selected, you can't do much of anything that isn't selection-related. The only way I can find to unselect is to switch to the pointer tool, and click on empty space. However, that also brings up the weird chord menu, which I never want, ever, ever. I can't find any other way to unselect.
The minimum note length is too long. I can't see a way to change the default note length, and I don't want to have to drag for every note I place.
The instrument screen makes it seem like the app does routing. However, each instrument screen appears to be totally isolated, so I don't know how to route an instrument VST to an effect VST, or if it's even possible. The routing screens appear not to have any use at all. The "MIDI" input seems to only mean the track. I don't see a way to route a MIDI source here.
Please take this as constructive feedback. I actually think this has a ton of potential!
