Forge Server 1.12.2 not starting at all & other issues

Good Day, dear MineOS team.

A friend of mine is using MineOS on TrueNAS, but the problems are, that he is not able to start the server with the Forge 1.12.2 profile, while vanilla works but is not able to connect (which is most likely a port issue).

The button appears nonresponsive and doesn't even try to start the server.
MineOS had been reinstalled and is using Java 8.

Another issue is not being able to access any logs, as he's unable to FTP or SSH into it as it says his password was wrong, even though he was just using that for the webui.

any thoughts or help would be much appreciated,
