Please clarify in the README the relation of this project to your other repo that achieves a similar result - https://github.com/hpvb/dynamic-linktime-load

What are the pros and cons of each method?

There were some portability issues with the approach I don't quite recall (it's been a couple of years) I'll try to reverse engineer why ultimately this approach was chosen. :)
