Ploopy Adept works version 0.52. I thought I'd upgrade to the newest version, 0.66. Ploopy Adept does not work on that version at all, no lights flash when plugged in. I went back to the old version and it's working again.

I'm sorry, what is "Ploopy"? If it's a keyboard or a mouse of some sort, please be so kind to share HID descriptor. I'll try comparing the versions to see why that might be the case, since it's pretty strange no lights would flash at all!

It's an open source trackball running QMK (https://ploopy.co/adept-trackball/).

Not sure why, but the old firmware is not working now either. Lights flash when I plug in, but ball movement doesn't work anymore. It used to work.

Is this the info you need? This is what I gathered from Device Manager on Win 11:
