Unofficial macOS test build for Mouzi v0.1.4

This is an unsigned, unofficial test build for Apple Silicon Macs (M1/M2/M3).
It was built from the same source as the current Windows/Linux v0.1.4 release, including the recent "version info in About" update.

How to install

1. Download the .dmg.
2. Open it and drag Mouzi.app to Applications.
3. On first launch, right-click the app → Open (it's unsigned, so Gatekeeper will block a normal double-click).
4. Grant any permissions it asks for.

What to test

• Does the app launch?
• Does Settings → About show version 0.1.4 and release date 2026-07-11?
• Can you add a folder and run a manual scan?
• Does the menu bar / tray icon appear?
• Any crashes or macOS-specific quirks?

Notes

• This build is not notarized or signed. It is intended for testing only.
• It is a prerelease and will not appear under "latest".
• Intel Macs are not supported in this test build (Apple Silicon only).

I'm on macOS 26.5.2
I downloaded the DMG and the tarbal
I "installed" them both to the Applications folder.
Launched both with the right click open but I receive this error message:
"Mouzi.app" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash.
I was able to clear the "it was downloaded from the web" attribute using
xattr -cr /Applications/Mouzi.app
After that it ran just fine.
The Open Downloads button does not function from the main GUI, and the default view made it hard to see what was cleaned:

Also there were a lot of files and folders left in my Downloads folder, it may be because they were carried over from my last install.

I'm not a dev but had Claude help with trying to hunt down logs on thing, it mentioned that devtools is disabled in your Tauri config which "make it harder to try and diag issues."

Thank you for your work on this any regardless... I have WAY too many items in my downloads folder and have enjoyed this on Windows and now my mac.

Thanks @bearded-zero for testing the macOS v0.1.4 build!

A few notes:

"Mouzi.app is damaged" - this is expected for an unsigned test build. macOS quarantines downloaded apps that aren't notarized. Running xattr -cr /Applications/Mouzi.app removes the quarantine flag and is the right workaround.

"Open Downloads" not working - you found a real bug. The fallback for non-Windows platforms was using xdg-open, which doesn't exist on macOS. I just pushed a fix (5643cca) that uses open on macOS instead. It will be in the next macOS test build.

Recent Actions view is hard to read - the popup is currently optimized for Windows and renders too compact on macOS. I'm tracking this for the next mac pass.

Devtools disabled - I disable them in release builds, but I'll enable them for the next test build so it's easier to catch platform-specific issues like this.
