@Castronova When is the next update?

  • We need a Landlab version update before CSDMS (almost ready)

  • High res basemap -- use >conda install -c conda-forge basemap-data-hires

  • ogh https://github.com/Freshwater-Initiative/Observatory > conda install -c conda-forge ogh (almost ready - may be ready by May 11 - some issues with attaching the meta.json file that comes along with the package)

Thanks!

@Castronova Margaux also emailed you about this.
We are thinking that we need this update done by May 17 or May 18 at the latest.
@jphuong - this will effect your code - lets get the release done.

We currently have version 1.4.0 installed. Is this what you want?

Thanks Tony - did the High res basemap and ogh additions get included last month as well? If so, I'll check them off. Or do you want to check it off? Thanks for helping iron out the process so it's clear and easy

This issue is an illustration of support needed for model community-CUAHSI support for use of the JupyterHub App.

here is our current plan for community supported version control: Landlab

  • Landlab developers maintain updated versions of the modeling framework on the CUAHSI JupyterHub server following the following communication tools:
  • Landlab developers communicate with the Landlab developer community to schedule version updates based on three annual community meetings which include presentations or workshops that feature - - - - Landlab. The three meetings we use to coordinate updates include the American Geophysical Union Annual Meeting (December recurring), Geological Society of America (July recurring), Community Surface Dynamics Modeling System (May recurring).
  • Landlab developers create new issues in the HydroShare JupyterHub Github repository tagged with ‘New Release’ labels and include instructions or changes to the installation update proceducres.
Landlab developers email CUAHSI JupyterHub developers to verify the timing and details of the software update.
  • Landlab developers communicate on the release updates by email to the Landlab developer community and include the update information in the Landlab newsletter.
