With the new "metadata editor", you can edit the XML of a study. However, when you edit an XML that you have uploaded, all the XML tag inside the document description section (docdesr) are emptied and remplaced.
As the functionality is limited to the study description (stdyDscr) (link to documentation), the form where you can edit metadata doesn't include information about the document description.
Therefore, could the system keep the existing XML tag, and just replace the ones about the software and date of creation in the document description section (docdesr)?

@ceracine - The built-in metadata editor is very limited in terms of functionality and only currently supports the DDI StdyDscr element. I'll see if we can include the document description.
