When trying to load h265 video on mac, it does not display anything

Does the same video play in QuickTime? If not then there is no luck supporting it in this project.

no its not, because quicktime does not support hevc codec
but hevc is hadware accelerated so maybe it is possible to add it

If your video is using a x265 profile supported by Apple hardware, it's in theory possible to add it. However, it will basically mean building a full video player from ground up which is way too much effort. It would be better if someone is interested in integrating this project into an existing video player that supports such codec.
