Do we have H5 API to override action for filter Apply button

I wanted to execute few actions before executing default functionality of filter 'Apply' button.

For example, in screen MMS015,I wanted to do some additional validations and also execute MI server for insert functionality then do the default action it does.

I thought of hiding Apply button and does perform actions, but do we have a better way of handling these scenarios

Also, another question is, most of the times ID of the elements have been changing, So do we have any standard way of getting element Jquery which would be irrespective of tenant.
