I'm not sure about updating stable version since issue #159 is still open. I have tested a version 1.12.3 from https://github.com/Jey-Cee/ioBroker.sayit which was a work around for the cloud voices but did not support volume control.
The latest update from beta repository was 1.12.6 where again cloud voices do not work. I gave up and now I'm using this boring and slow Google voice.

@Erbse69 Funktionieren bei dir bei 1.12.6 auch etwas längere Text mit der Google Stimme? Ich bekommen bei Texten die etwas als 70 Zeichen sind, wieder die Fehlermeldung: "Cannot get file:TypeError: text should be a string"

@mrbjoernson Nein, Texte länger als ca. 70 Zeichen werden bei mir auch ignoriert. Es wird dann der alte Text gesprochen. Im Objekt sayit.0.tts.text wird der korrekte Text eingetragen, aber scheinbar von google nicht akzeptiert. Eine Fehlermeldung gibt es bei mir allerdings nicht.
