Yes, IOCCC29 needs to improve the R&G and to produce a FAQ where some of the current stuff is put into a "for the curious" appendix document. See GET ON WITH IT as to why this wasn't done for IOCCC28. |

Rule 19 makes references to additional documents. Are they to be treated as rules, guidelines, or informative? Start of Discord markdown thread , my thoughts
The shear volume of material to read has been commented on before and might be extra burden some for non-native English speakers. Also some of the material, in particular Rule 19, seem more like a Post-Judging task for Winners and should not factor into judging. Tasks not directly related to code and submissions, and a lesser degree documentation, should not be in Rules.
The Rules should be reviewed for IOCCC 29 to reduce the volume of material.
