The next technical steps needed to display actual definitions of words:
• Find a dictionary API that contains definitions (Merriam-Websters?) to use and/or allow teachers to add & customize definitions to words.
• For custom definitions, a UI should be created for that user to add their definitions for certain words, and those definitions can be written to a database. 
The message can then query the database and retrieve those custom definitions.
• For the dictionary API, the message would query the dictionary API similarly as it currently does with the local JSON file, but from a different source.
