tl;dr: Consider using kinbiko/jisho-alfred until this project is ported to Python 3.

I've been a big fan of this project for a very long time myself, and I hope (without expectations -- it's open source after all!) it'll receive some updates at some point in the future.
In the meantime, since I personally wouldn't be able to port this project from Python 2 to Python 3 in a reasonable timeframe, I've built an equivalent Alfred workflow and program in Go over on kinbiko/jisho-alfred.

I can't guarantee the same ease of use, and shiny finish that this project has, but I figured I'd share here in case it helps unblock others.
