But I recall we had another user reporting a similar issue, right?

Can you check if this may be a duplicate of those?
#3006
#2994
#2962

the last one shows the "jumping" as a video. Its like the jasp window is shaking. If so you maybe could give us these details:

ok then. Did the program work in the past? Or did you just install? Also did you try a reboot then?
Also we need to know which way you installed, see:
grafik

If you can tell, then you could try another install method. I am guessing here that you use windows... we really need much more info about your system and your situation.

There are many models of the "hp chromebook x360", see https://geizhals.de/?fs=HP+Chromebook+x360&hloc=at&hloc=de

So which generation do you have? Or more importantly, how much RAM does your system have and how old is it? Because it seems that this chromebook may
a) be underpowered with possibly only 4GB of RAM or
b) maybe too old to handle linux and jasp well

I am also experiencing the same issue on a Samsung Chromebook, notebook model XE521QAB. Version 126.0.6478.261 (Official Build) (64-bit).
I manually open it in safe graphics mode and experienced the same thing. The screen would shake and nothing was responding to clicks without tampering. If I clicked on a tab and then expanded the window, it would move to whatever I clicked. Doing this slow method I turned off safe graphics mode. I then launched it by clicking the icon with no response. A manual start gave an error code in penguin and I will attach that image. I also have video of the app shaking. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Linux and JASP.

I have previously run JASP on this laptop with no issue before so this must be tied to the latest update or two.

Hi @Mystic11z I would like to know your screen parameters: size, resolution (e.g. 1920*1080) and the current JASP scaling settings, which you can find in the JASP GUI settings. The console information isn't very helpful for this case.
