Trying to get transparent background

I try to get transparent background; that is the background shine through the pane it is added to. Let's say I want to switch themes in my app... can you tell me how I do it, if not - add support for it?

I can not set background color when terminal is active at least?

Did not get this to work, would be happy to get the background the terminal is added upon to shine through
