I originally saw this one at config 2022, I enjoyed the talk, and love the article. I accidentally read two different articles somehow, so will include them both.

• tldr; test your products with real people, you aren’t your user, and sometimes things have to be complex for work. "Life is complex"
• Don’t rely on generalised articles and the 10 top tricks etc. They are only guidelines, you don’t have to follow them
• I loveee real world examples, and this is one of the messy design process.
• For her talk, she did an example of a step process in Figma, which was really relevant and funny, Figma is also a complex tool but we need it for work!
• You should dogfood your applications.
• As a designer it’s vital you care about your API’s.
• You can use Excel as a way to try to adapt to try out complex forms.
