I know it's easy to keep the soname the same as the version but with the release of 0.8.0 there were no ABI changes noted by abipkgdiff, nevertheless because of the soname change to update the package in Fedora will require that 20 packages also be rebuilt unnecessarily.
Can the soname be divorced from the version and only be bumped on ABI changes?
