Should contain some design principles and inspirational ideas. Things like

  • High-level goal is to provide a suite of phylogenetic functions that can be composed
  • Anything that duck-types to a Tree should be accepted (by this we mean has properties parent_array, etc)
  • Some non-goals like, providing interfaces to existing CLIs
