QC doesn't open buffer in macvim

I'm having a random problem with QC only when using MacVim. QC opens MacVim but MacVim has no filename associated. So, when I try to save the edit in QC to send back to the original application MacVim obviously complains because the file isn't named. In addition, QC constantly spins the beachball after launching MacVim when I hover over the icon.

I'm not sure what broke recently. I've been running this fine with MacVim for a while and randomly this started breaking.

Is there some type of debug I can add, etc. to see what is going on? Maybe QC is having trouble creating a temporary file or something?

It's also worth nothing that the only other app I have that can run with QC is Mou and this works fine. Again, I've been using only MacVim until recently when something happened.

Oddly enough if I take QC out of my auto-start apps on login this problem goes away. I just removed it from autostarting, rebooted, and then everything is back to normal. Does this hint at anything in particular?
