Student side- Hard to format the contents when inserting multiple media

As the screenshot below, students are hard to format the contents when inserting multiple media, including image, link, and text. Possible solution is to place the "add image, add text..etc" as the widget on the top of the page, and use a big column for users to edit their content as the example of Canvas.

Another issue is that most of the time, users tend to press the right button to continue/submit the process. Place the submit button on the right hand side could be more intuitive for users.
