Car charger - which one is good with Solar Optimizer

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a car charger 3.6kW or 11kW, and of course I want to use it with Solar Optimizer. Somone have good or bad feedback to share about car chargers ? I'm Interseted for products and also installation/configuration :-)

Hello, yes this one works fine : AFYEEV EV charger (it is available on Aliexpress and can start with 6 A)

Tout d'abord merci beaucoup pour ton travail ! I'll continue in English so everyone can benefit from my questions.

I bought the AFYEEV EV charger, and apparently this charger can't change power while charging (it just doesn't work, and needs to be switched OFF, Set New Power, and then Back ON again). Was it the case before?

Another question : what happens when a managable device doesn't burn the quantity of electricity set by the Optimizer? On some conditions, Solar Optimizer may authorise 16Amps to the EV charger, but if the car is fully charged, the charger will not "burn" any power. Does this situation leads to export to Network, or the unused power will be redistributed among other equipments?

Yes I do changing the charging amperage during charging. Else it is useless with SO.

The consumed poer is lower and then SO will activate more device. There is nothing special to do, it will adapt itself automatically

Apparently the new charger can't do it "a la volée"... so I will try to adapt the code so it does turn off then on just when a change is needed.

You define the timing in SO to limit the changes. (or I don't understand your question)

I read again the readme, and found what I was looking for in your exemple with the 2 different parameters duration_min and duration_power_min which adjust, if I understand well, the minimum working time and the minimum interval between power change.
