I moved away from that domain years ago and later let it expire.

Looks like someone have reregistered the domain and duplicated the old content (the copyright indicates it is from 2022) in an attempt to... earn money on ads?

Not certain if there's anything we can do about this.

If you see links to the domain anywhere, I'd love to have them updated to point to https://pykka.readthedocs.io or the GitHub repo.

Sent this to [email protected] now, which is listed as the abuse contact point for the IP 192.95.38.20:

Hi,

I’m the maintainer of the Pykka open-source Python project and used to own the domain pykka.org. Recently, I found out that someone else has registered the domain, copied my project’s documentation, and put it up on their site with casino ads.

While the docs are under the Apache License 2.0, this doesn’t give them the right to use the Pykka name or branding in a way that confuses users or to monetize it with ads. This could be seen as trademark infringement and possibly cybersquatting, which are serious issues.

The IP address for the domain (192.95.38.20) seems to belong to OVH, so I’m assuming the site is hosted by you. I’d really appreciate it if you could look into this and consider taking down their hosting.

Thanks for your help.

I'm not expecting much result from this, but then we've done what we can at least.
