Describe the bug
I wanted to suggest that to me it seems like a potential accessibility and user confusion issue that the close button only shows up when moving the mouse there. Especially on a touch device like a tablet, which isn't an uncommon use for Linux desktops these days with the Steam Deck and convertible laptops, this may mean the user simply doesn't understand how the window can be closed. I consider myself a somewhat advanced user, and I initially thought the close button was malfunctioning and missing as well.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Open any book in Foliate
Don't move the mouse near the title bar (which on a touch device you can't do anyway)
Try to intuitively figure out how to close the window
Expected behavior
Close button is always visible and easy to see. This doesn't seem to be the case. That the other automatically hidden controls may need some special taps or swipes to show up seems less of an issue, since this seems common in other ebook reader apps.

The close button is indeed an important button, but it's probably better to investigate ways to make the whole bar more discoverable. Well, always showing a close icon could be one such way, but that doesn't solve the problem for the navbar.
