Usability issue with not memorizing lane settings

Hello, following the previous suggestions, I also want to point a bug that I found.

When adding or removing a lane in the settings, it would just reset all the other lanes to a default setting. I then have to go over all the other lane settings again and reapply their values.

Thanks for posting this, could you please split this up into two issues? Just keep one of the topics in this issue, change the title and move the second to a new one. Please always go with one Github issue per issue in thr future. Thx.

Ah this one is not a bug, I am aware that there are some usability issues with this UI element such as the one you reported.
I also would like to implement a possibility to save user defined cross sections.
This will be improved at some point.

If you would like to improve just the one detail that you've reported feel free to open a PR.
