Custom icon

I would like to replace the “checkmark-in-circle” with an icon representing my distro. Is that feasible?

You can edit the file ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/SystemMenu@jonnius.github.com/extension.js and replace lines 67-68

		let icon = new St.Icon({ icon_name: 'emblem-default-symbolic',
					 style_class: 'system-status-icon' });

by

		let icon = new St.Icon({ width: Main.layoutManager.panelBox.get_height(),
					 gicon: Gio.icon_new_for_string('/path/to/some/icon.svg') });

Restart your Shell (Alt+F2, type r, ENTER) and the new icon should be there.
