I suspect S7 will make a ton of sense for this. Basically delete ~everything and restart with S7 to see how/if it works.

I should consider this in the long term, but right now I think it causes more headaches than it solves. S7 is useful if you want to continue to validate an object after it's created, but it would be weird for people to try to break their rapid objects, so I don't think it's useful here.

Using new_property might make this make more sense. Hmmm.
