the offset value is not consistent, depend direction no same same effect

posible solution

let adjustedOffset = direction == .right ? 1 - offset : offset

same issues when set .up and .down

One other consideration, that if the Edge type is used it could be made compatible with RTL

other recomendation, us Edge
