Routing traffic to Pi

Apologies if a rather basic question but how do I go about routing traffic from other devices to my Pi?
OpenPyn works for the traffic on the Pi but not for devices I point at its IP address (e.g. my Apple TV). Are there some additional config changes required on the Pi?
