Scrolling not working when the cursor is on Canvas

I can draw things on Canvas. But I cannot scroll the notebook page whenever the cursor is on the canvas. I need to move the cursor away from the canvas, then I can scroll. I tried different browsers, jupyter notebook, jupyterlab, Colab. But still the same.

Is there anyone who faces the same problem? Any solution to this?

Yes, seeing the same behaviour here.
I am guessing it's maybe because the canvas catches mouse wheel events, for example if one wants to implement a zoom on mouse wheel functionality or other?

Maybe a way forward would be to allow scrolling of the notebook if no callbacks are currently registered with on_mouse_wheel?
