Since there were quite a few nice PRs that got merged recently, it would be great to have a new release out there some time soon!

Opening this issue to check if there are a few more things that should be fixed or merged before making the release.

We also discussed this briefly at the JupyterLab meeting last week with @krassowski. And we are happy to help with the release if needed.

@jtpio Thanks for inquiring! There were a few more PRs that got merged in this afternoon. I'll cut the release now. 😁
