Did you recently switch your monitor and had configured some resolution switch settings in your vibrancegui?

Interesting, can you give the following information:

  • what kind of monitor do you have?
  • what GPU?
  • What resolution do you use regularly on Windows?
  • what resolution did you configure vibrancegui to change to?

And it would be great if you can add a screenshot of your vibrancegui main menu and the vibrancegui application config window where its causing the bug.

Thank you for trying it out :)

This error occurs in case the command to change the desktop resolution from vibranceGUI to your Windows operating system fails. This means that something about this configuration -- 1652 x 1080 @ 165 Hz and 16 bit desktop color depth and stretched scaling mode -- is not accepted by Windows, which is most likely forwarding this request to the GPU driver under the hood.

I have a NVIDIA GPU so it is kinda hard to tell for me on what is going on in your case. Are you sure that you can select this exact resolution in your AMD software?

The 16 bit desktop color depth looks a bit weird to me, for NVIDIA it is 32 bit (NVIDIA calls this Highest) per default. I could find some posts on Reddit that claim that this setting is sometimes forced to 32 bit for specific cable types (e.g. HDMI cable) that you have connected your monitor with.

Or maybe the stretched part being the issue, for example as your AMD scaling settings are forcing the image to keep its original aspect ratio? This is something I can force in my NVIDIA Control Panel too.

On top of that, just to confirm:

  1. This error happens immediately when you switch into the RobloxPlayerBeta application, i.e. not when you switch back out of this application back into Windows?
  2. Have you switched your monitor or gpu since the last time you selected this resolution option in vibranceGUI?
