VibranceGUI Starts Properly on Startup then Reverts Settings #81
Comments
Which version are you using? |
Wait, you are setting the vibrance value manually in your driver? Obviously that will not work as vibranceGUI overrides the setting and sets either your windows vibrance value or, well, the in-game vibrance value you chose. |
Version should be latest release at the date of March 20th, will be able to double check later today when I get back to my PC. And I believe I did set the saturation on the AMD drivers in my old PC but definitely did not on my new PC. Will also double check this later today. |
Can you also try to close vibranceGUI, then navigate to the folder %appdata%\vibranceGUI and rename the applicationData.xml and to vibranceGUI.ini something else? Then restart the program and see if it still happens? This will reset your configuration settings entirely. |
Version is 2.3.1.1 I renamed the config files and reopened VibranceGUI to let it generate new ones and the problem persisted. Also removed config folder and redownloaded the latest binary (I believe still 2.3.1.1) and it didn't help. One thing I noticed on the fresh install was when I set windows vibrance to 100% and restarted PC, the digital vibrance setting was applied then reverted like before, and when I opened VibranceGUI the level was at 50%. Every restart after it opened at 100%. It only happens whenever I login, the vibrance is applied on the lock screen after a restart. At this point I'm starting to think it could be a driver problem, maybe something to do with Nvidia control panel or Geforce Experience? It seems like it's fine for the first couple seconds until another program finishes starting and messes with it. |
I know this is an old issue, but I just started using vibranceGUI and it's bugging the hell out of me. It's a super minor annoyance, but I tried the fixes here (and using version 2.4 just for fun), but no matter what, vibranceGUI starts normally with startup, is completely fine on the lock screen for 10-15 seconds, and then it turns vibrance to the default (50%) until I log in. Why does this happen? |
Every time I turn on my PC VibranceGUI starts properly and applies my digital vibrance settings, then about 2-3 seconds later it reverts the settings, and VibranceGUI is still open. I have to open the program from the taskbar icons and close it to apply the settings again.
Happened on my old PC and new PC
Old PC: i5 6500, AMD r9 390
New PC: i7 8700k, NVIDIA RTX 2060
