Kasmweb seems to be a good platform for sharing computing resource of server while it is very easy to be accessed with GUI.

However, I found that MATLAB shows following message:

No protocol specified
No graphics display found. Unable to start application in GUI mode. Consider relaunching the app in a graphical environment.

I have tested the installer on linuxserver/webtop which uses Kasm VNC for GUI session display. On it, installer started without problem.

I think this is happening because there is a difference in how kasmweb shows GUI session and how kasm vnc shows GUI session.

If someone knows why, may I ask for the solution?

Its hard to say what the issue is. It may be easier for the community to provide help if you provide a dockerfile with how you are doing the install.

A quick google shows a related issue in their forums : https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/1990363-install-matlab-on-server-with-no-gui-no-graphics-display-found-unable-to-start-application-in-gu

It also may be a difference in permissions. You may try running the kasm container with the privileged flag, as user root and/or with seccomp unconfined - maybe you can compare those permissions with what you are doing in the linuxserver/webtop configuration. Also compare if you are passing through GPUs or not
