P format

Thank you, this is one of the few packages I load whenever I open R.

My issue is the formatting of the letter P in the P value. Some journals want it uppercase, some want it lowercase. Some want it italicized, others don't. I don't mean to brag, but Nature Publishing Group likes the italic capital P. I know I can just omit the P value altogether and add it manually with annotate(). But that increases my risk of making manual errors. Would it be possible to add the options of upper-/lowercase and formatting (italic or not) to the P value annotation?
