After our meeting today, I created a list of analysis ideas for the DL-Front code. Feel free to also post analysis ideas for ClimateNet and the MCS work, or whatever might be helpful to include in this repository. @jtruesdal @hurricanemolina
- bar charts (?) with spatial average front crossing rates (counts/wk) across seasons/months/years
- plotting all front types on the same map
- superimpose low centers on fronts maps
- superimpose "none" front type output on low centers
- keep track of "hits" i.e. occurrence of low center & front
- interpretation methods for DLFront: what input fields are important and why?
- compare crossing rates maps with CSB dataset (NOAA)
- compare CESM, MERRA, and CSB (may not be exactly matching years?)
- compare CESM output present day with historical and future climate conditions
