The bug:

The motion detection is, well baffling. It seems to be triggered by increased brightness caused by nearby headlights, but if I stand in front of the camera and wave (visible in the dashboard) nothing happens - no saved images, no saved video, and "latest activity" (in dashboard) doesn't feature me.

Reproduce:

I set the motion detection to maximum sensitivity, and "number of detections..." to 1
I walk in front of the camera and wave
I see no evidence of detection or saved media

Expected behavior:

Motion detection and recording of obvious human motion

Operating System and Device:

  • Host system: docker (kerberos/kerberos:latest) running on Synology host
  • Host OS: Docker
  • Installation Method: Docker

My settings, below. If anyone can point out something that would be awesome, as I am about to give up :) which would be a pity as the product looks very useful!

Thanks!

Check your Expositor > Hull, down arrow. Out of the box, mine was a strange shape and I had to adjust it to cut out movement from trees in the wind.
